Onsite IT Technician
Based at client in Hout Bay
This role is to assist the technical support team by servicing and supporting clients that require technical onsite desktop support. For this reason, this role has a strong requirement for someone that can confidently and professionally represent my client.
Min of 3 years IT desktop support experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills of the English language
Own reliable car
Support client and fellow team members with desktop support tickets.
Make sure that all client hardware is running optimally. Manage and update client documentation and credentials.
Check up on client infrastructure and escalate issues to the relevant team. Maintain our IT standards on all client sites.
Help with the implementation of IT projects. Troubleshooting of VoIP solutions.
Report and offer feedback to clients.
Research and develop policies around IT best practise. Maintenance on Windows, Linux and Mac Server. Maintenance on WiFi network.
Develop, and implement automation scripts. Coordinate third-party service and repair requests. Setup and maintain backup protocols.
Assist in development of client IT strategy.
Tasks as assigned to you via the management team.
Any other such instructions and directions, as may be designated to you, that are considered reasonably consistent with your position
Understanding of Networks and networking principles
Working knowledge of Windows 10
Windows Server experience
Practical and analytical troubleshooting skills
To start in March 2021 or sooner. Permanent position – reports to Technical Support Manager.
Must have good references.
