Service provider to a national food chain seeks POS Technicians Team Leaders / IT Field Technician (with supervisory experience) with a minimum of 4 years’ experience (required) managing networks (qualifications MCSE or A+) or 2 years’ experience working in a POS environment. A valid driver’s license and a reliable car is an absolute requirement. Travel within divisions will be required. Day and Night shift mix, so you could work night shift.


Key Skills:

Project management and reporting ability

Ability to identify, understand and communicate the technical issues

Ability to report and facilitate the tech and leadership teams as required in the store environment

Pref: Infrastructure project management knowledge

Pref: Retail Store rollout experience

Ability to take ownership and drive objectives


Activities expected for the Role:

Coordinate pre cut-over activities

  1. Ensure that you have the plan from your PM
  2. Know who your cut-over team is
  3. Know who your store support team is

Coordinate cut-over activities

  1. Confirm team arrived at store
  2. Open Teams call with PM
  3. Team talk with entire cut-over team across functions – confirm plan on the night with time windows
  4. Confirm day end completion on Matra & SIMS
  5. Coordinate tasks in integrated cut-over plan with Back-Office & Peer System Teams
  6. Set up the Master Till & subsequent slave tills
  7. Confirm tests completed per POS cut-over stage gates
  8. Declare trade readiness with Store representative in store

Manage close out activities

  1. Manage On the night exit criteria
  2. Manage ICU exit criteria
  3. Manage High Care exit criteria
  4. Ensure all documentation saved on Teams in store folder

Roll-back activities

  1. Enable and take the team through Roll-back activities where decision was made to roll back.
