Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee stock control and packing operations for a leading wholesaler of Halaal and Non-Halaal meat products, as well as a variety of food supplies, serving the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision: Lead and supervise packing area staff and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
2. Inventory Management: Oversee accurate recording of stock movements, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
3. Quality Control: Enforce quality standards for product handling and packing to maintain excellence.
4. Operational Efficiency: Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, creating a secure environment for the team.
6. Reporting: Regularly generate reports on stock levels, warehouse performance, and any issues.
7. Communication: Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
8. Problem Solving: Tackle challenges proactively, implementing effective solutions to prevent future issues.
9. Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct regular stock checks and resolve discrepancies through reconciliation.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or stock control environment.
• Strong understanding of stock control principles and inventory management processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and reporting accuracy.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and related software.
